TOWN OF DELAVAN LAKE COMMITTEE MINUTES OF JANUARY 4, 2012
1. Call to order: Chair Simons called the meeting to order @ 7p.m.
2. Roll Call: Howie Reynolds absent.
3. Simons declared a Quorum for doing business.
4. Motion was made by Kim w/ second by John to approve the agenda.
5. Minutes were approve by Kim second by Jim with a correction that the Delavan Club
Sedimentation trap is being repaired.
6. Communications:
a. DLSD monthly report.
b. E-Mail from Shooden regarding access from Mound Road for fishing or hunting.
Will place this on Feb agenda for further discussion.
7. Review of Lake Fund Budget.
8. OLD BUSINESS:
a. DLSD access/soil control- survey was done and easement needs to be re- written
b. Browns Channel Sedimentation Survey- Committee discussed. Hope to have HDR
@ Feb. meeting to answer any questions we may have.
c. Additional Piers- Pam @ the County has just recently returned to work, hoping to
Meet with her soon.
d. Weed Harvest Access: Brief discussion, again hoping that HDR will attend the Feb meeting.
e. Buoy request from DLYC – No permit applications have been rec’d yet.
f. Delavan Lake Monitoring Program- Letter was rec’d from the USGS – they may share
The cost with this program. HDR believes that the location should begin on Mound Road.
Committee will continue to discuss this program and go forward.
g. Delavan Club Sedimentation trap- Work has been complete. Other traps have been located
around the lake and been checked. There are probably more and should be files in the basement of Town Hall. This will become a Public Works do list at least twice a year.
9. NEW BUSINESS:
a. Bouy request- A slow no wake buoy has been requested for View Crest- Motion was made by Kim w/ second by John to approve.
10. Monthy bills- Bill from HDR for $5100. For Browns Channel- Motion made by Kim w/ second by Jim to approve.
11. Comments and suggestions:
Senate bill has been delayed, several concerns still.
Mary Knipper informed that Committee of a workshop Jan 21st @ The Delavan Club.
12. Next meeting date: Feb 1, 2012
