MINUTES OF THE TOWN OF DELAVAN LAKE COMMITTEE MEETING 11/05/08 @
7:00PM.
1.) The meeting was called to order by Chair Wolfgram at 7:00PM.
2.) Roll call indicated Dave Kilkenny was absent, all other members
were present. There were ( 6 ) citizens present.
3.) Chair Wolfgram declared a quorum present.
4.) Approval of the minutes of the October 1st 2008 meeting. With a
motion from Don Holst, second by John Pelletier,
All in favor.
5.) Comments from citizens: Mrs Holst provided information on the
new watershed sign status and locations.
Jane Harries asked about the City Of Elkhorn attending the
meetings. Chair Wolfgram advised they receive agendas.
6.) Communications: Chair Wolfgram advised a letter from the DNR
about the Mound Road seeding grant that will end in
December. Don Holst advised everything has been done and we
have the seed. Chair Wolfgram gave members info.
On storm water utility communities throughout the state.
7.) Old Business:
( A ) HDR status: Don Holst advised there were no contaminants
noted. There has been discussion with the DNR and are working on the
total report that should be ready for January 2009.
( B ) Mound Road Project: Don Holst advised the aqua divers have
finished. Phenco completed the grading of the stockpile areas.
Completion of the east pond will have to be done this winter when the
ground freezes up. The roads are not designed to carry heavy loads.
( C ) S. Shore Dr weir silt removal: Chair Wolfgram advised there
is still too much water flow to use the hydro vac. American Hydro
services advised to remove it when there is low or no flow. The silt
is not at a critical level at this time, but will have to be
maintained every year or two to keep it from increasing. A maint plan
for this area and the wetlands will be put together. Other methods of
silt removal were also discussed and will be considered.
8.) New Business:
( A )Any other lake issues: Barb Militello advised the next joint
DLSD and Town Board meeting on the topic of storm water utility will
be December 3rd 2008.
9.) Comments: Mary Knipper asked if we could get the Police Dept.
stats from Delavan Lake for the past ( 3 ) years.
Also if the gauge station on S. Shore Dr. could be put back
into service. This will have to be discussed with the
DLSD and or USGS.
10.) Monthly bills were reviewed.
Next meeting December 3rd 2008.

in favor at 8:05PM.
