FRIDAY MEMO
To: Town Board Members
From: John Olson, Town Administrator
Date: November 14, 2008
Please take time to read this week’s Friday Memo- -a general recap of the week. As always, should you like more information, I ask that you call the office, e-mail or stop in. Thanks for your continued support.
1. Budget Hearing week is always a great week to get past. Special Assessments/Charge reports were being completed for the County Treasurer today. Thanks for supporting the change to an appointed/hired Treasurer. This is a good step of progress for the Town.
2. Engineered Buildings will be submitting a formal request to PW Committee to push back the “substantial completion date” for the SS/Police Garage from 11/30 to 1/31. Baxter & Woodman confirmed the Salt Shed portion will be completed by the end of the month. B&W is 280 hours into their 350 hour inspection budget and should have enough budgeted time left if extension is granted.
3. DLIA has organized a Delavan Lake Watershed Awareness Project. Attractive colored signage will be hopefully posted throughout the watershed area on local, county, and state roads. PW Dept will assist with town road installation and maintenance. Please contact Merilee Holst at 262-728-5698 for ways you can support and help in this effort.
4. PW is recommending Theatre Rd. with an alternative of Dusk Dr. for 2009 road improvements.
5. If weather permits, approach paving will be completed next week for the SS/Police Garage. Hopefully, brush drop off site will be available late next week. Thanks for your patience.
6. Met with Jim Muldowney to amend the plat for Windtree Acres Condominiums. December Plan Commission agenda item.
7. Submitted a small claim by Erika Czarnecki for vehicle damage when traveling Theatre Road.
8. Enjoy your weekend!!
Meetings next week: Board Meeting,
Tuesday at 6:00pm.
