MINUTES OF THE TOWN BOARD WORK MEETING OF : JULY 11TH 2007 @
7:00pm.
1.)The meeting was called to order by Chairman Polzin at 7:00PM.
2.)Roll Call indicated all board members were present, except
Supervisor Jones, excused. The Clerk was at a seminar out of town.
3.)Chair Polzin declared a quorum present for doing business.
4.)Communications: Chair Polzin went over the Cameron Estate letter
and review on S. Shore Dr.
A letter was read from Walworth County RE: a letter to Maureen A.
Gries about a sidewalk violation along the lakefront at their
residence.
Chair Polzin presented a letter for John Olson RE: Moving and
proposed future agreement as Administrator.
5.) Comments: Mr. Andy Robbins from Bay View Subdivision was
present and described the poor road conditions in
their Subdivision and the need for future repairs to be worked
on with the Township. Attorney Wassel advised the
past conversations with these roads and the need to have the
majority of the property owners support.
Mr. Robins indicated they would be getting the process
started. Chair Polzin advised he would work to do this.
Old Business: None
New Business: Committees
1.) Administrative / No quorum this month. Attorney Wassel
advised ( 2 ) Town Board members will have to sign
as there was no meeting. Supervisor Franzen advised we will
be getting a new postage machine that will be less
per month to use than our existing one. Attorney Wassel
advised about the Hay & Assoc, claim and would like a
Closed Session Town Board meeting next week. Also the
liquor license for Pat’s Place was granted but not issued.
Both need to be published, the new one needs to be
completed.
2.)Emergency Government / No Meeting.
3.)Finance / No Meeting.
4.)Fire & Rescue/ No Meeting, no agenda was posted.
5.)Park & Tourism/ Supervisor Franzen wanted to thank everyone who
helped during the 4th celebration at the park.
The portable toilet at the park building isn’t needed. Shelters will
be getting repairs. Gate income is up. The permit was obtained to
repair the holes in the park ramp area. Our website is very
outdated.
6.)Police & Water Safety / Nothing to report.
7.)Public Works/ Chair Polzin advised about the limestone materal
that will be used to repair holes on Beckman and Hiawatha Drives.
Both streets to be overlayed next year. Bay Road condition, Attorney
Wassel talked to Dr. Cuttler who resides off of this street. He will
be making contact with Attorney Rasmussen who represents Mr. Joseph
Schultz. Supervisor Sessner advised we have costs from Baxter &
Woodman. Wayne asked to have this on the agenda to do the temporary
repairs. Also the Blue Herron, dam access problems were discussed.
The 2007 road paving contracts were presented. The new Covered Bridge
development in Walworth Township was discussed, Attorney Wassel will
send a leter to the Town Of Walworth advising no access onto S. Shore
Dr.
8.)Lake Committee / Meeting was posted late. Supervisor Wolfgram
advised he did have a letter from a S. Shore
Manor resident RE: possible damages from water and ice to their
property from the dredging project. Attorney
Wassel advsied to let our and the contractors insurance
companies know about the claim. There will have to be a
Fund resolution done later to transfer funds from the
Browns Channel project to the Inlet project.
9.)Plan Commission / No Meeting.
10.)E.T.Z / No Meeting.
11.) Other Recommendations / Attorney Wassel advised a notice
letter needs to be sent to the Town Clerk RE:
Directives on postings. Chair Polzin read a letter he had
about this.
Chair Polzin advised about new resolution # 178 to repeal
the old one and approve the new revised one.
Supervisor Sessner read his letter of concerns.
Adjournment / Chair Polzin made a motion to adjourn, seconded by
Supervisor Franzen, all in favor @ 8:43PM.
